**Tides and Conditions**
Today's looking prime for getting out on the water. We've got a high tide hitting at 5:13 AM at 6 feet—that's a solid start to the morning. Low tide comes around 11:55 AM at 1.51 feet, then another high tide at 5:46 PM at 4.49 feet. Sunrise is at 6:39 AM and sunset wraps up at 4:44 PM, so you've got good daylight to work with. The water temperature is holding steady around 67 degrees—still comfortable for the fish.
**What's Been Biting**
The recent reports from Marina del Rey Sportfishing are showing excellent surface action. We're talking about calico bass up to 7 pounds, with anglers pulling in limits. They've also been landing sculpin, whitefish, mackerel, rockfish, and some nice seabass. The Victory out of Long Beach reported limits of sculpin, 49 calico bass, 103 blue perch, and 50 rockfish. Santa Monica Bay is your bread and butter for land-based fishing. The points on either side of beaches are premium—look for irregularities in the breaking waves that indicate sandbars and holes. Marina del Rey is another solid choice, especially given the recent reports.
