# Saturday Morning Fish Report - November 29th, Los Angeles
Hey folks, Artificial Lure here with your weekend rundown for the LA basin. Beautiful morning out there – we're looking at mostly sunny skies with partly cloudy conditions along the coast, perfect for getting out on the water.
**TIDES & TIMING**
Let's talk timing. High tide rolled in early this morning at 4:48 AM running 4.61 feet, and we've got our low tide coming up around 11:02 AM at just 1.9 feet. Another high tide will hit around 4:26 PM at 3.7 feet. Sun's up at 6:38 AM and we're looking at sunset at 4:44 PM, so you've got a decent window to work with today.
**WHAT'S BITING**
Yesterday's reports from 22nd Street Landing and Long Beach were solid. The Monte Carlo landed nearly 60 keeper calico bass with plenty of bottom-dwelling species – whitefish, sheephead, rockfish, and perch. Dropper loop rigs baited with squid and shrimp worked like a charm. The Amigo pulled in 60 white seabass, 15 bluefin tuna, and 9 halibut on their 1.5-day trip. Point Loma down in San Diego had 108 yellowtail, 24 bluefin tuna, and 20 whitefish. Water temperature's holding around 67 degrees – still decent for this time of year.
**GEAR & BAIT**
For the bass fishing – and folks are reporting 90 percent of fish being caught at the surface – bring small sliders, small plastics, and A-rigs. The flyline bait is working too. If you're going after bottom fish, your standard dropper loop setup with squid and shrimp will do the job. Mackerel, bonita, and the occasional big sheephead are also in the mix.
**HOT SPOTS**
Head to 22nd Street Landing in San Pedro or Long Beach if you want consistency. The bite's been productive on the structure there. Second option – Point Loma down south if you're willing to run further and want a shot at those larger species.
Weather's cooperating, the bite's on, and conditions are about as good as they get for late November. Get out there early, work those tides, and tight lines.
Thanks for tuning in, everyone – make sure you subscribe for your next report.
