In Episode 1993, Sean Woodley is joined by Joe Wolfond to talk about the Toronto Raptors' incredible defensive turnaround, what's been working for them, and what could threaten their top-five status on that end of the floor. Off the top, they chat about the connectivity with which the team is playing, Scottie Barnes' individual brilliance, the improved defensive performances from guys like Brandon Ingram and Immanuel Quickley, and the ways in which the Raptors are become more selective, and less predictable. Next, Sean and Joe dig into Toronto's scaled back full court pressure, the team's ability to successfully play switch defense and some of the other tactical shifts feeding into their success. Lastly, they discuss whether the teams' form can hold up against more challenging offensive opponents (like the Knicks and Lakers in the coming days), the play of Ja'Kobe Walter in place of the injured RJ Barrett, and whether the Raptors will finish higher on the offensive or defensive charts by season's end.
