Lt: Vytautas įžengė į bunkerį su rimta išraiška.
En: Vytautas entered the bunker with a serious expression.

Lt: "Reikia ruoštis," pasakė, išsklaidydamas Eglės dėmesį nuo augalų paveikslėlių ant sienos.
En: "We need to prepare," he said, drawing Eglė's attention away from the plant pictures on the wall.

Lt: "Čia taip tamsu," tarė Eglė, akimis klaidžiodama po nedidelį, šaltą kambarį.
En: "It's so dark in here," said Eglė, her eyes wandering around the small, cold room.

Lt: Bunkerio sienos buvo tvirtos, pilkos, be skono, tačiau patikimos nuo esamos audros.
En: The bunker walls were solid, gray, tasteless, but reliable against the current storm.

Lt: "Ar negalime išeiti nors truputį?
En: "Can't we go out just for a bit?

En: I want to see how the plants react to this cold."

Lt: "Vytautas nesutiko.
En: Vytautas disagreed.

Lt: "Ne.
En: "No.

En: We have to stay here until it passes."

Lt: "Eglė kilstelėjo antakį.
En: Eglė raised an eyebrow.

Lt: "Bet ši audra gali reikšti didelius pokyčius gamtoje.
En: "But this storm could mean major changes in nature.

Lt: Tai mano proga pasitikrinti faktus, rinkti informaciją.
En: It's my chance to check the facts, gather information."

Lt: ""Mano užduotis yra saugumas.
En: "My task is safety.

Lt: Negalime rizikuoti," atsakė Vytautas tvirtai, bet jo balse jautėsi rūpestis.
En: We can't take risks," replied Vytautas firmly, though concern was evident in his voice.

Lt: Jis užrakino duris, širdis plakė greičiau nei įprasta.
En: He locked the door, his heart beating faster than usual.

Lt: Eglė susimaišė tarp pykčio ir lūkesčių.
En: Eglė was torn between anger and anticipation.

Lt: "Tarkim, leisk man tik dešimt minučių," pasiūlė, suviliojusi mintimi nepastebėtu nuotykiu.
En: "Let's say you let me for just ten minutes," she proposed, tempted by the idea of an unnoticed adventure.

Lt: Stovintis tarp sprendimo ir abejonių, Vytautas žvelgė į Eglę.
En: Caught between a decision and doubt, Vytautas looked at Eglė.

Lt: "Gerai, bet kartu su manimi, ir bet kokiu atveju grįžtame atgal iš karto," tarė jis pagaliau, suspausdamas atrakto raktą kišenėje.
En: "Alright, but together with me, and in any case, we return immediately," he finally said, clutching the key tightly in his pocket.

En: They went outside.

Lt: Vėjo šuoras siautėjo laukuose, plakdamas jų striukes ir leisdamas abiems pajusti šaltį iki kaulų.
En: A gust of wind raged through the fields, whipping at their jackets and letting them both feel the cold to their bones.

En: The branches of the trees swayed incessantly, leaves floated in the air like autumnal elusive dances.
