Imperial Stout Review: Soviet Savior | Kaprizov Tribute Collab Brew! Back Channel Brewing x The Sota Pod

In today's Podcast, we dive deep into a tasting and review of Soviet Savior — a bold, limited-release Imperial Stout brewed as a tribute to Minnesota Wild superstar Kirill Kaprizov.

This beer is a special collaboration between The Sota Pod (your favorite hockey + beer podcast) and Back Channel Brewing, located right on the shores of Lake Minnetonka in Spring Park, Minnesota.

Soviet Savior carries on the tradition of Back Channel’s annual Imperial Stout, Soviet Slayer — a brew honoring legendary USA Hockey coach Herb Brooks, whose leadership helped defeat the Soviet team in the iconic 1980 Olympics. This year’s collaboration flips the script, celebrating one of the most electric NHL players in the game today.
