Episode Details

Historical legend surrounds the creation of Messiah, but the real story is far richer: Handel and his friend Charles Jennens composed it as a bold response to rising secularism in their day. Every word of this masterpiece comes straight from Scripture, proclaiming Christ from prophecy to resurrection. On this episode, David Wollen joins Charles Morris and Dr. Ruth Smith to explore why Messiah remains one of history’s clearest musical testimonies to Jesus.
