Lv: Vecajā noliktavā valdīja klusums.
En: Silence prevailed in the old warehouse.

Lv: Tikai vējš šalkoja caur salauztajiem logiem, virpuļodams kritušās rudens lapas pa tukšo telpu.
En: Only the wind rustled through the broken windows, swirling fallen autumn leaves across the empty space.

Lv: Rūta stāvēja noliktavas vidū, savā prātā vīlot lielu uzvaru.
En: Rūta stood in the middle of the warehouse, in her mind envisioning a great victory.

Lv: Šogad viņa gribēja uzvarēt zinātnes izstādē skolā.
En: This year, she wanted to win the science fair at school.
