Commanders' Kicker Woes Continue

Commanders' Kicker Woes Continue

The Washington Commanders kicking game continues to be a major challenge, with general manager Adam Peters having brought in nine different kickers since 2024. The latest addition, Jake Moody, joins after Matt Gays release following another poor performance. The teams constant turnover at the position has prevented stability and confidence. Earlier, Austin Seibert seemed promising but retired due to injury, while Zane Gonzalez was cut despite a strong playoff run. Matt Gay, signed to a record contract, has also struggled. Ironically, Spencer Shrader, who replaced Gay, has performed better for the Colts, and Gonzalez, released by the Commanders, has been perfect for the Falcons. The team hopes Moody can turn things around, despite concerns about his accuracy from beyond fifty yards.
