This month, two major headlines ignited conversation around corporal punishment in Christian homes. In one case, an associate pastor from the well-known 2819 Church was arrested after police reports alleged he beat his son with a power cord—an incident investigators say left the child bloodied and bruised. In another, a Christian school teacher sparked widespread outrage after reportedly striking her own child with a belt 22 times in just 14 seconds, a brutal assault captured on video.
