Episode Details

The meeting between President Trump and NYC Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, held on Friday, November 21, 2025, in the Oval Office, turned out to be a surprisingly cordial and productive discussion focused primarily on affordability and issues relevant to New York City, rather than the fiery clash many expected. Despite a history of trading insults (Trump called Mamdani a "communist lunatic"; Mamdani called Trump a "fascist" and "despot"), both men adopted a respectful and chummy tone during their public appearance. Trump even brushed aside a reporter's question about Mamdani's past "fascist" comment, telling him, "It's OK, you can just say it".
