Commanders Sign Kicker Moody, Reuniting Him with Samuel
The Washington Commanders have released veteran kicker Matt Gay and signed Jake Moody from the Chicago Bears practice squad. Moody, known to General Manager Adam Peters from their time together with the San Francisco Forty-Niners, will now be teammates with wide receiver Deebo Samuel Senior. This reunion comes after a heated exchange last year when Moody missed a third field goal in a game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The team hopes any past friction is now behind them as they focus on strong performances this season.
