At a time when the Houston Oilers were struggling, Bum’s down-home leadership, trademark cowboy hat, and unshakable belief transformed the team into contenders—and sparked one of the most passionate fan movements in football history. Even in defeat, their story became something bigger than football: a community united by heart, hope, and the belief that the game could bring people together.
