Description
Today in History: The day Methuselah died (according to tradition, see Genesis 5:27). ”So all the days of Methuselah were nine
hundred and sixty-nine years, and he died.”
It's also the day the matriarch Rachel died (according to tradition, see Genesis 35:18–20). ”It came about as her soul was departing (for she died), that she named him Ben-oni; but his father called him Benjamin. So Rachel died and was buried on the way to Ephrath (that is, Bethlehem).”
