Ro: Ion este un țăran harnic, cunoscut și iubit în satul său mic din câmpia României.
En: Ion is a hardworking peasant, known and loved in his small village on the plains of Romania.
Ro: Toamna acoperise dealurile cu un covor de frunze roșii și galbene.
En: Autumn had covered the hills with a carpet of red and yellow leaves.
Ro: Aerul era proaspăt, iar mirosul de fum de lemn plutea ușor deasupra satului.
En: The air was fresh, and the smell of wood smoke floated gently above the village.
Ro: St. Andrei se apropia cu pași repezi, iar Ion era nerăbdător să participe la sărbătoare.
