Today we're going to learn about the Cherokee Ghigau (or Beloved Women) Nanyehi. She survived wars, invasions, epidemics, and the relentless encroachment of colonists and chose over and over again to wield her influence to reduce bloodshed and advocate for the survival of her nation.
