Lv: Kristaps sēdēja pie sava galda koledžas kopmītnēs, kur gaiss bija piepildīts ar grāmatu smaržu un mājasdarbu čaukstiem.
En: Kristaps sat at his desk in the college dormitory, where the air was filled with the scent of books and the rustle of homework.
Lv: Blakus viņam atradās Māra, kura sapņaini lūkojās pa logu uz krītošajām lapām.
En: Next to him was Māra, who dreamily gazed out the window at the falling leaves.
Lv: "Zini," Māra teica, "mēs esam pelnījuši piedzīvojumu ziemas brīvlaikā.
