Episode Details

The following episode explores real events involving suicide, murder, and the hysteria of the 1980s Satanic Panic. Some listeners may find the details distressing. Please listen with care.

In the summer of 1988, 17-year-old Tate Rowland was found hanging from a tree outside Childress, Texas. What police first called a suicide soon spawned rumours of dark rituals and a hidden cult. Three years later, his sister Terrie Trosper was found dead under equally mysterious circumstances.
