The Chinese Ambassador to Canada Wang Di, as well as Premiers Scott Moe and Wab Kinew, desperately want Prime Minister Carney to drop the American-style 100% tariffs on Chinese EVs. In exchange, the Chinese Ambassador says their government will drop Canadian tariffs on canola. Easy quid pro quo, right? What could go wrong? Well, a lot, actually. Let’s talk about it.
