Country artists keep it real, and everyone else should be taking notes | Music City Minute

Description
Over the years, a lot of stories have circulated about celebrities and their requirements (or demands) preceding a performance. These stipulations are called a "rider," and this topic really ramped up after the Van Halen "no brown M&Ms" requirement was made public. This is also where I feel an artist's true nature is revealed. For example, Jelly Roll needs a brand new package of socks at every show. Lainey Wilson needs a kettle and box of "Throat-coat" tea. Meanwhile, Miranda Lambert admits all she needs is Cheetos and Titos. Now, compared to Justin Bieber's need for 10 luxury sedans, J-Lo's need for all-white furnishings, a single person designated to throw away Mariah Carey’s gum, as well as Prince insisting a luxury five-bedroom house be built for him near a venue, the differences are staggering. On one hand, we have sensible and rational country folks, and on the other, overinflated egos with downright ludicrous demands.

I'm Sheena, and that's your Music City Minute.
