Et: Viru raba oli nagu muinasjutt.
En: Viru bog was like a fairy tale.
Et: Sügisvärvid katsid maad, paks udu hõljus männimetsa kohale.
En: Autumn colors covered the ground, and thick fog hovered over the männimets forest.
Et: Oli Mardiöö eelõhtu.
En: It was the eve of Mardiöö.
Et: Taevast langesid lehed ja õhk oli mõnusalt soe.
En: Leaves fell from the sky, and the air was pleasantly warm.
Et: Tanel ja Maarja kõndisid mööda looklevat laudteed. Nendega liitus Kärt, kes teadis siinseid radu kui oma taskuid.
