Story Transcript:

Et: Aasaluka raba kattis kerge uduloor.
En: Aasaluka bog was covered by a light veil of mist.

En: Autumn brought with it a play of crisp colors - the bare branches of the trees rose toward the sky, while the ground was covered with the rich red and brown shades of cranberries and fungi.

En: Kert, youthful and full of life, walked slowly through the wet tussock, leaving tracks from his boots like quiet words.

Et: Ta silmad ekslesid metsaservale, kus jõhvikad sillerdasid salakavalalt.
En: His eyes wandered to the edge of the forest, where cranberries sparkled slyly.

En: "Watch out, Kert!" called Liisi from behind him, making sure her basket was properly placed.

En: Everything had to go as planned, and Liisi could not tolerate mistakes.

En: Kert smiled and waved her off with laughter, although deep down, he felt worried.

Et: Raivo istus läheduses vana kändu peal. Ta jälgis noori oma aruka pilguga.
En: Raivo sat nearby on an old stump, watching the young ones with a wise gaze.

En: For him, it was important that traditions were not forgotten, that the young respected their ancestors' wisdom and the beauty of the bog.

Et: "Jõhvikad saame kergesti," ütles Raivo.
En: "We can get the cranberries easily," said Raivo.

En: "But do you remember how they were collected in the old days? Every sound had its place."

En: Kert nodded, but his thoughts wandered far.

Et: Kas jääda Aasaluka väikesse külasse või avastada laia maailma, see küsimus vaevas teda üha enam.
En: Whether to stay in the small village of Aasaluka or explore the wide world, this question troubled him more and more.

Et: "Hoidke parem silmad lahti," ütles Liisi, hoiatavalt ringi vaadates.
En: "Better keep your eyes open," said Liisi, looking around warningly.

Et: "See raba on libe."
En: "This bog is slippery."

En: Kert began picking, his thoughts confused, but the experienced movements calmed his worries.

En: But then he found something strange - in a large shaded nook, the cranberries were covered in black dust, like a linen cloth from a deceitful landfill.

Et: Ta peatus, täielikult ära võetud vaatepildist.
En: He stopped, completely taken aback by the sight.

En: The meaningless slopes shook his faith unknowingly as a seeker of peace.

Et: "See pole looduslik," mõt
