The Stone of Bethel, proclaimed the House of God by Jacob from his visionary dream nearly 4000 years ago, had yet another king-crowning ceremony perched above it with the coronation of Charles III. Jacob's Spiritually Transformative Experience viewed God above the Stone, but from King David to the present, a line of kings and queens have placed themselves on a par with, and sometimes above, God's position. The problem is, authoritarians aspire to God's power, but not God's love.
