The Toronto Raptors split a pair of weekend games -- a 109-97 NBA Cup win over the Atlanta Hawks and a competitive 130-120 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday -- that proved that this team isn't going anywhere in the Eastern Conference playoff race any time soon. In Episode 1979, Sean Woodley goes solo to talk about the Raptors' impressive work overcoming a bit of an off night to take down the Hawks and move to 2-0 in NBA Cup competition, a loss to Philly in in which they simply lost steam against a Sixers team having an offensive explosion, and more. In spite of off shooting nights from Scottie Barnes and Brandon Ingram against a defensively daunting Trae Young-less Hawks team, Toronto pulled out a win, which is a thing that good teams do. Plus, despite the loss to the Sixers, all of the Raptors who matter most were at or near the top of their game. Ain't it fun being competitive in this wide open East?
