Fi: Kalle astui ulos pienestä mökistä, joka seisoi Suomen Lapin ikimetsän reunalla.
En: Kalle stepped out of the small cabin that stood at the edge of the ancient forest in Suomen Lappi.
Fi: Oli syksy, ja ilmassa leijui kylmä kirpeys.
En: It was autumn, and there was a crisp chill in the air.
Fi: Keltaiset ja punaiset lehdet peittivät maan pehmeän sammalen päällä.
En: Yellow and red leaves covered the ground, atop the soft moss.
Fi: Päivä ei ollut vielä alkanut kunnolla, ja sumu leijaili matalalla metsän yllä, tehden maisemasta lähes taianomaisen.
En: The day had not fully begun yet, and fog was hovering low over the forest, making the landscape almost magical.
Fi: Kalle oli innokas nuorukainen, aina valmiina uusille seikkailuille.
En: Kalle was an eager young man, always ready for new adventures.
