High school student and founder of DOPE (Despite Opposition Pursue Excellence) Butterfly, Johnai Price has lived through most of her childhood and tween years being severely bullied by classmates. Starting in second grade, she has been called nasty names, picked on because of the color of her skin, and even encountered a death threat. When her mom wanted to confront the parents of the bullies, Johnai desired to head to church and pray for her assailants. God gave her a vision to use her tragic story to help other victims of bullying. Today she hosts DOPE Butterfly events where teens openly discuss their struggles and encourage each other to spread their wings and fly.
