50. Why You Overshare & How to Stop Doing it When You Have Anxiety

Episode 50 Published 8 months, 1 week ago
Description

I have always been someone who overshares. This is a trait I have come to love about myself, but there are times when oversharing is unnecessary and causes me an immense amount of distress and anxiety. This episode is for those times. In today's insight episode, I discuss oversharing - why we do it, how to stop doing it, and how trauma and anxiety can play a role in it.

In this episode, I discuss:

  • Three common reasons people tend to overshare.
  • My own personal experience with oversharing.
  • Coping mechanisms & strategies to become more intentional with what we share.

Journal prompt of the week:

Ask yourself: What are some things I wish others knew about me, and how can I share those things more intentionally?
