Sl: Matej in Tanja sta hodila po poti, ki je bila nekoč srce Triglavskega narodnega parka.
En: Matej and Tanja were walking along the path that was once the heart of the Triglav National Park.

Sl: Zdaj je to bil tih, pusti kraj, kjer so šelesteli zadnji jesenski listi pod njunimi nogami.
En: Now it was a quiet, desolate place where the last autumn leaves rustled under their feet.

Sl: Matej je imel oster pogled.
En: Matej had a keen eye.

Sl: Oči so neprestano preučevale okolico.
En: His gaze constantly studied the surroundings.

Sl: Tanja je skrbela za mapo.
En: Tanja was in charge of the map.

Sl: Iskala je smeri na zgrčeni papirnati karti.
En: She searched for directions on the crumpled paper map.

Sl: Zrak je bil hladen, nebo sivo.
En: The air was cold, the sky gray.

Sl: Tudi sonce je bilo skrito za oblaki.
En: Even the sun was hidden behind the clouds.

Sl: Zima se je hitro bližala.
En: Winter was approaching quickly.

Sl: "Morava biti previdna," je rekel Matej ter pogledal proti obzorju, kjer se je kazala grozeča nevihta.
En: "We have to be careful," said Matej as he looked toward the horizon where a threatening storm was looming.

Sl: "Lahko pride kmalu.
En: "It could come soon."

Sl: ""Seveda," se je strinjala Tanja, a njen glas je bil napolnjen z upanjem.
En: "Of course," agreed Tanja, but her voice was filled with hope.

Sl: "Ampak slišala sem, da naj bi bil varen pristan nekje blizu.
En: "But I've heard there should be a safe haven somewhere nearby.

Sl: Morda najdeva druge ljudi.
En: Maybe we'll find other people."

Sl: "Matej se je ustavil.
En: Matej stopped.

Sl: Spomini na preteklost so se mu zavili okoli srca.
En: Memories of the past wrapped around his heart.

Sl: Spomnil se je izgubljenih domačih ter bolečine, ki jo je nosil s sabo.
En: He remembered lost loved ones and the pain he carried with him.

Sl: Vendar zdaj ni bil sam.
En: But now he was not alone.

Sl: Tanja je stala poleg njega, pripravljena na vse.
En: Tanja stood beside him, ready for anything.

Sl: "Hodiva," je naposled dejal Matej.
En: "Let's go," Matej finally said.

Sl: Moral se je odločiti.
En: He had to decide.

Sl: Ena pot je peljala po hribu, kjer je bil teren nevaren, druga pa bi trajala dlje, a bila varnejša.
En: One path led up the hill, where the terrain was dangerous, while the other would take longer but was safer.

Sl: Matej je vedel, da morajo sprejeti pravo odločitev zaradi nevihte.
En: Matej knew they had to make the right decision because of the storm.

Sl: Izbrala sta daljšo pot.
En: They chose the longer path.

Sl: Zdelo se je pametneje.
En: It seemed wiser.

Sl: A kot sta hodila, je veter postal močnejši.
En: But as they walked, the wind grew stronger.

Sl: S pogledom na bližajoče se oblake je Matej začutil nelagodje.
En: Seeing the approaching clouds, Matej felt uneasy.

Sl: Tanjin optimizem ga je vedno navdihoval, a zdaj je bilo jasno, da morata iskati zavetje, in to hitro.
En: Tanja's optimism always inspired him, but now it was clear they needed to seek shelter, and quickly.

Sl: Nenadoma se je Matej ustavil.
En: Suddenly, Matej stopped.

Sl: Daleč v daljavi se je zaslišalo renčanje volkov.
En: Far in the dista
