Cs: Ve vzduchu visel podzim.
En: Autumn hung in the air.
Cs: Studený vítr foukal přes husté lesy Šumavy, zbarvené do nádherných odstínů oranžové a zlaté.
En: A cold wind blew through the dense Šumava forests, colored in stunning shades of orange and gold.
Cs: Karel, zkušený dřevorubec, stál na okraji lesa.
En: Karel, an experienced woodcutter, stood at the edge of the forest.
Cs: Byl to zvláštní den.
En: It was a special day.
Cs: Karel věděl, že tahle část lesa, plná vzpomínek na dětství a jeho zesnulého otce, má být pokácena.
En: Karel knew that this part of the forest, full of memories of childhood and his deceased father, was to be cut down.
Cs: Karel vzpomínal na časy, kdy tu tábořil s otcem.

Cs: "Nemůžeme pokácet tadyto místo.
En: "We can't cut this place down.
