Nl: Op een dag in de herfst, toen de lucht grijs en de zee onrustig was, stonden Bram en Elke op het strand van Ameland.
En: One day in the autumn, when the sky was gray and the sea restless, Bram and Elke stood on the beach of Ameland.

Nl: Hun docenten van de milieukunde hadden hen meegenomen voor een excursie.
En: Their environmental science teachers had taken them on an excursion.

Nl: De wind blies hard over de duinen en de lange grassen bogen en ritselden als fluisterende stemmen.
En: The wind blew hard over the dunes and the long grasses bent and rustled like whispering voices.
