The 3rd quarter has not been kind to Nebraska football in 2025…why has it been so hard to play better right after halftime for this team?

Published 5 months, 1 week ago
Description

A man on Twitter, (Parker Fleming, @statsowar), went through every college football team’s score differential by quarter and made a graph…Nebraska has an expected positive point differential in the first quarter (18.51); 2nd quarter (18.42); and 4th quarter (21.77). We saw the 4th quarter be positive for Nebraska vs. Michigan State, Maryland, and others

But the third quarter has Nebraska at (-31.53) in expected point differential from what has happened this season. Why are they so flat or straight up bad out of halftime?
