Last week in Aurora saw several notable incidents, beginning with a suspected DUI street racing crash reported near East Colfax Avenue and Chambers Road on Saturday, according to Denver7. Friday night brought a report of alleged shots fired near the intersection of East Alameda Parkway and South Sable Boulevard. Officers recovered shell casings at the scene, but no injuries were reported and there are no suspects in custody at this time.
Over the past week, police also responded to multiple reports of catalytic converter thefts in the Aurora Highlands and Tollgate Overlook neighborhoods. In each instance, suspects allegedly targeted parked vehicles during overnight hours. Investigations are ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
