Episode 26
Are our wants really so different? In today’s episode, Rhonda reveals the surprising truth: beneath our unique desires is a shared longing for love, safety, and belonging. Learn how seeing the sameness in what we seek can dissolve judgment and open new possibilities for connection with yourself and others.
It’s easy to see our dreams and desires as specific, uniquely ours and to compare or judge others for the way they chase their own. But today, I invite you to look beneath the surface. We may individualize how we move through the world, but at the core, every soul is chasing the same essentials: love, safety, family, belonging, health, and confidence.
Join me as I share why permission to dream and honoring those dreams in others, shifts us out of isolation and toward authentic relationship. You’ll hear how judging others for their specific path misses the bigger truth: we all want to matter, to love, and to be loved.
If you’ve ever caught yourself separating yourself from someone else’s wants, let this episode be your doorway back to compassion. Today is the day to not only own your dreams, but to see how others are simply trying to do the same.
We all want the same things. When you see your own needs reflected in the hearts of others even those you judge, connection and permission grow.
“We all generically want the same things. And that's why if you really got that, embraced that, integrated that, you'd find so much more connection with just about anybody.”
Today, pause and notice: How are you, and those you judge, chasing the same essential human experience? Practice seeing the sameness, then share your reflection with someone you care about, or let us know on @LoveNotesFromRhonda.
If today’s episode spoke to you, share it with one friend who might need it right now.
