Sk: V popoludní svätoštefansky deň, usadili sa žltohnedé listy spolu s jemným studeným vetríkom na trávniku pred komunitným centrom.
En: On the afternoon of St. Štefan Day, yellow-brown leaves settled along with a gentle cold breeze on the lawn in front of the community center.

Sk: Vnútri, v teplom svetle, sa zhromaždili ľudia, vymieňajúc si pozdravy a úsmevy, pripravení voliť.
En: Inside, in the warm light, people gathered, exchanging greetings and smiles, ready to vote.

Sk: Bol deň miestnych volieb a súčasne sviatok Všechsvätých.
En: It was local election day and simultaneously the holiday of Všechsvätých.

Sk: Pre Jany, pomocníčku s dlhoročnou skúsenosťou, to bol obzvlášť dôležitý deň.
En: For Jana, an assistant with years of experience, it was a particularly important day.

Sk: Jana, žena v stredných rokoch s vrkočom zaveseným na pleci, sa starala o organizáciu dobrovoľníkov.
