Prayer for All Saints Day

O God of holiness and glory,
 today we rejoice in the feast of All Saints,
 your faithful servants who now stand before Your throne,
 singing forever of Your goodness and love.

In every age and nation,
 You have called men and women to follow Christ,
 to live the Gospel with courage, and to shine as lights in the world.
 Their witness strengthens us, their prayers support us,
 and their example shows us the path to holiness.

As we honor this great communion of saints,
 we ask that You pour out upon us the same Spirit
 that filled their hearts with faith and love.
 Make us steadfast in trials, joyful in hope,
 and generous in works of mercy.

Gather us one day with them
 into the fullness of Your kingdom,
 where with Mary, Queen of All Saints,
 and all the angels, we will praise You without end,
 through Christ our Lord. Amen.
