We are surrounded by the promises of easy and convenient. This is the offering to humanity that guarantees the sacrifice of our spirit. This promise gives with the understanding that we become beholden to the system. It is the trap of idolatry worship, of system worship and of turning away from God our Father. It leads us to the pit of division, judgement, hubris and the satisfaction in witnessing pain in others. The Way of Jesus is none of that. We must begin from within our own hearts to ask to be refined,to repent and to embrace the fires that bring us closer to Him. There in lies truth and freedom.
