Sl: Meglice oktobra objemajo Trnovo, miren kotiček Ljubljane.
En: The mists of October embrace Trnovo, a peaceful corner of Ljubljana.
Sl: V tej slikoviti soseski se drevesa bahajo s toplimi jesenskimi barvami.
En: In this picturesque neighborhood, the trees boast warm autumn colors.
Sl: Miran, s skrbno urejenimi lasmi in še bolj skrbnim načrtom v glavi, se sprehaja po ozkih ulicah.
En: Miran, with carefully styled hair and an even more carefully crafted plan in his head, strolls through the narrow streets.
Sl: Njegova misija?
En: His mission?
Sl: Najlepše okrašena hiša za noč čarovnic.
En: The most beautifully decorated house for Halloween.
Sl: Njegova prva postaja je lokalna trgovina na vogalu.
En: His first stop is the local store on the corner.
Sl: Ob vstopu se razgleda po trgovini.
En: Upon entering, he looks around the store.
Sl: Polici pa so že skoraj prazne.
En: The shelves are almost empty.
Sl: Srčne svetilke, njegova najljubša dekoracija, so razprodane.
En: String lights, his favorite decoration, are sold out.
Sl: Miran stisne ustnice.
En: Miran presses his lips together.
Sl: To je bil njegov adut.
En: That was his trump card.
Sl: Poln upanja se obrne k prodajalcu: "Ali imate še kaj posebnega?
En: Full of hope, he turns to the shopkeeper: "Do you have anything special left?
Sl: Kaj več od buč?
En: Anything other than pumpkins?"
Sl: " Prodajalec odkima.
En: The shopkeeper shakes his head.
Sl: Miran stopi na ulico, veter mu družbo.
En: Miran steps onto the street, the wind as his company.
Sl: V srcu začuti ščemenje, brazdano s kančkom upanja in zamisli.
En: He feels a tingling in his heart, threaded with a hint of hope and ideas.
Sl: Tako prispe do svoje hiše na koncu ulice.
En: Thus, he arrives at his house at the end of the street.
Sl: Zala, njegova soseda, ga že čaka na vrtu.
En: Zala, his neighbor, is already waiting for him in the garden.
Sl: "Miran, bilo je vroče v trgovini, kajne?
En: "Miran, it was hot in the store, wasn't it?"

En: Boris, who hears the conversation from his balcony, shouts: "Great idea, Zala!
Sl: Tako bi lahko vsi sodelovali.
En: Then we can all join in."
Sl: "Miran razmišlja.
En: Miran ponders.
Sl: Zdelo se mu je tvegano, a hkrati vabljivo.
En: It seemed risky, yet inviting.
Sl: Moral se je prepustiti ustvarjalni energiji skupnosti.
En: He had to surrender to the creative energy of the community.
Sl: "Prav," reče končno.
En: "Alright," he finally says.
Sl: "Poskusimo.
En: "Let's give it a try."
Sl: "Priprave se začnejo.
En: The preparations begin.
