Story Transcript:

Et: Tallinna Lennujaamas oli sumisev rahvahulk.
En: At Tallinna Lennujaamas there was a buzzing crowd.

En: The excitement of traveling hovered in the air like autumn leaves swirling outside the large windows.

Et: Kohvikus istusid Kalev, Maarja ja Tanel.
En: In the café sat Kalev, Maarja, and Tanel.

Et: Nende ees kohvitassid, kõrval reisikotid, nad nautsid veel viimast korda nädalavahetuse vabaduse maiku.
En: In front of them were coffee cups, alongside their travel bags, enjoying the last taste of weekend freedom.

Et: Kalev naeratas laialt.
En: Kalev smiled broadly.

Et: "Kas mäletate, kuidas me Amsterdami kanaleid mööda sõitsime?"
En: "Do you remember how we rode along the canals of Amsterdam?"

Et: küsis ta, silmad säramas.
En: he asked, his eyes gleaming.

En: Maarja sighed, but her face betrayed a smile.

En: "That was really special, but I have to go to work tomorrow, and there are so many problems I need to deal with."

Et: Tanel noogutas nõustavalt.
En: Tanel nodded in agreement.

Et: "Ja minu rahakott vajab natuke puhkust.
En: "And my wallet needs a bit of rest.

En: The weekend was fantastic, but I also need to think about my account balance."

Et: Kalev ei andnud alla.
En: Kalev didn't give in.

En: "Listen," he began, "I just heard about a festival happening next month.

Et: Ja meil on praegu võimalus osta soodsad lennupiletid."
En: And right now, we have the opportunity to buy cheap plane tickets."

Et: Maarja ja Tanel vaatasid üksteisele otsa.
En: Maarja and Tanel looked at each other.

En: Kalev continued: "Think of it as an investment in our memories.

En: We needed the weekend to remind ourselves that life is more than just responsibilities."

Et: Maarja kaalus seda mõtet.
En: Maarja considered this thought.

En: "If you think we can find a balance between work and fun, then you have the chance to prove it."

En: Tanel hesitated, but Kalev's enthusiasm was contagious.

En: "If we can come up with a plan that doesn't rob our wallets, I'm in," he finally said.

Et: Hetkeline vaikus täitis laua, katkestatud ainult kohviku meludega, kuni Maarja naeratas.
En: A momentary silence filled the table, interrupted only by the café's hum, until Maarja smiled.

Et: "Mulle meeldib see idee.
En: "I like this idea.

Et: Oled valmis?"
En: Are you ready?"

Et: küsis ta.
En: she asked.

Et: Kalev nõjatus ettepoole, täis ootusärevust.
