Airbus, Leonardo, and Thales have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at combining their respective space activities into a new company. The Republic of Cyprus has signed an Associate Agreement with the European Space Agency (ESA), and is expected to become an Associate Member in the coming months.
