Sometimes all that is needed to empower others is to exist completely and unapologetically as yourself. Having a conversation with somebody that needs verbal validation is wonderful. However, sometimes you just need to be you and do your thing and people will notice.

There are so many people in this world that serve as a positive example and don’t realize all of the people they are inspiring. When a little Black girl sees Mae Jemison, she knows that she can be a scientist too. When a person fighting addiction sees how Samuel L. Jackson not only beat addiction, but used it to catapult his career, they can see inspiration and hope. When a son sees his mother fighting through life to make a way for him, he knows there’s no struggle in his life that he can’t beat.

Create with intention. Create knowing that people are watching and wanting you to succeed. Because when you succeed they see themselves succeeding.
