Episode Details

In a world where God’s people face subjugation—whether by ancient kings or modern bureaucracies—the cry of Elisha rings true: “There is a prophet in Israel!” Today’s readings from 2 Kings and Luke reveal the failure of human leaders who reject God’s Word and the hope offered by those who trust in Him. From an enslaved girl’s faith to a Samaritan leper’s gratitude, we see that God’s power prevails over dhimmitude, the subtle subjugation of believers in our day. Discover how faith in Christ, the true Prophet, King, and Priest, empowers us to reject the world’s chains and live boldly for God’s glory.
