Amanda Barrie is a British actress who first gained attention in the 1960s with roles in the classic Carry On films, including Carry On Cabby (1963) and Carry On Cleo (1964), where she played Cleopatra. On television, she became a household name as Alma Baldwin in Coronation Street, appearing regularly from the 1980s to 2001. After leaving the soap, she joined the cast of Bad Girls as Bev Tull, adding another memorable role to her career. She has also made guest appearances in shows such as Are You Being Served?, Doctors, and Benidorm
