Story Transcript:

Cy: Ara’dd roedd Rhys yn sefyll yn y cyntedd, ei fryd arni.
En: Once, Rhys was standing in the hallway, focused on it.

Cy: Ei deulu newydd symud i dŷ newydd mewn tref Gymreig fach, lle roedd y tai wedi'u ddal mewn cwtsh teddy rhwng coed derw eu hydrefliw.
En: His family had just moved to a new house in a small Welsh town, where the houses were nestled in a cwtsh like a teddy bear among autumn-colored oak trees.

Cy: Roedd papur newydd wedi treiglo dros lawnt newydd ardderchog Rhys, wedi’i fwydo gan ei angylion gardd newydd.
En: Newspaper had blown over Rhys's excellent new lawn, fed by his new garden angels.

Cy: "Rhaid i ni wneud y lle hwn yn gartref," meddai Seren, tra roedd ei llaw yn suddo i gordyn cennin Pedr plastig lliwgar.
En: "We have to make this place a home," said Seren, as her hand sunk into a colorful plastic daffodil garland.

Cy: Roedd ei henaid creadigol bob amser yn cynllunio, yn ceisio twyllo’r cyrchyddol i edrych yn ddathliad o liwiau ac awyrgylch cynhesach.
En: Her creative spirit was always planning, trying to transform the ordinary into a celebration of color and warmth.

Cy: Er gwaethaf y croeso newydd, Gareth, eu mab yn ei arddegau, oedd yn edrych ar y byd gyda llygaid iddo yn llawn hiraeth am yr hen ffrindiau.
En: Despite the new welcome, Gareth, their teenage son, viewed the world with eyes full of longing for old friends.

Cy: Roedd y lle newydd yn teimlo’n ofnadwy o bell i ffwrdd i'r llanc deng mlynedd ar hugain.
En: The new place felt terribly far away to the twenty-year-old.

Cy: "Mae'n rhaid iddo wneud ffrindiau," myfyriai Rhys, yn galon lwmpus.
En: "He must make friends," mused Rhys, with a heavy heart.

Cy: Roedd y penwythnos yn dod â ffeirio, a gallai weld y tai cyfagos yn cael eu haddurno’ ar gyfer Calan Gaeaf - pob ty yn wynebu’r drysau â chalonau hirgul o dolc dyffryn.
En: The weekend brought trick-or-treating, and he could see neighboring houses being decorated for Halloween—each house facing the doors with elongated pumpkins like Val d’Orcia.

Cy: Gobeithiai Rhys y byddai parti bach o dan do yn uno’r cymdogion.
En: Rhys hoped a little indoor party would unite the neighbors.

Cy: "Byddwn ni’n cynnal parti Calan Gaeaf," dywedodd yn uchel, yn nodi ei fwriad.
En: "We’ll host a Halloween party," he announced, declaring his intention.

Cy: "A fi'n rhoi'r addurniadau i fyny," ychwanegodd Seren, gwen ar ei wyneb.
En: "And I'll put up the decorations," added Seren, a smile on her face.

Cy: O fewn diwrnodau roedd y drws ffrynt wedi ei wneud i fyny gyda gwyrddni dagrau a phumgwynion bach yn seren am eu goleuadau.
En: Within days, the front door was adorned with tear greenery and small pumpkins as stars for their lights.

Cy: Pan ddaw’r noson parti, roedd yr awel hydrefol yn cysgu trwy’r strydoedd, gan gario aroglau tangwydd pren i’w nostrils.
En: When the party evening arrived, the autumn breeze swept through the streets, carrying the scent of pinewood to their nostrils.

Cy: Roedd y gwahoddedigion yn amrywio mewn cysgodion gan eu costumes, yn dod a hwyl i walau’r tŷ newydd.
En: The guests varied in shadows with their costumes, bringing cheer to the walls of the new house.

Cy: Gareth, fodd bynnag, ached ei ffordd i mewn i gornel o'r lolfa, ei lygaid o dan ei gap Calan Gaeaf.
En: Gareth, however, made his way to a corner of the living room, his eyes beneath his Halloween cap.
