El: Τα φύλλα έπεφταν απαλά στα μονοπάτια του γειτονάτου, ντύνοντας το δρόμο με το χρυσοκίτρινο και το πορτοκαλί της εποχής.
En: The leaves fell gently on the neighborhood paths, dressing the road in the golden yellow and orange of the season.
El: Ήταν φθινόπωρο, και οι κάτοικοι ετοίμαζαν ένα μικρό πανηγύρι γεύσεων στην αυλή της Έλενας.
En: It was autumn, and the residents were preparing a small flavor festival in Έλενα's yard.

El: Εκείνη τη μέρα, στο πανηγύρι, καθώς οι άνθρωποι μαζεύονταν για να γευτούν τα καλούδια, ο Δημήτρης παρατήρησε την Έλενα να στήνει το τραπέζι της.
En: On that day, at the festival, as people gathered to taste the goodies, Δημήτρης noticed Έλενα setting up her table.
El: Νόμιζε ότι προσπαθούσε να τραβήξει την προσοχή προς τα δικά της γλυκίσματα και θύμωσε λίγο, νομίζοντας πως ήθελε να 'σκιάσει' τη δική του συνταγή.
En: He thought she was trying to draw attention to her own sweets and got a little upset, thinking she wanted to 'overshadow' his recipe.
El: Η Άννα, μία από τις γειτόνισσες, αντιλήφθηκε την ένταση και μίλησε με την Έλενα.
En: Άννα, one of the neighbors, sensed the tension and talked to Έλενα.
El: "Ίσως να πήρε στραβά τις προθέσεις σου.
En: "He might have misunderstood your intentions.
El: Καλύτερα να του μιλήσεις," της συνέστησε.
En: It's better to talk to him," she advised.
El: Η Έλενα συλλογίστηκε λίγο.
En: Έλενα thought for a moment.
El: Ήξερε πως αν δεν μιλούσε στον Δημήτρη, θα έχανε την ευκαιρία να συμμετάσχει όπως ήθελε.
En: She knew that if she didn't talk to Δημήτρης, she would miss the chance to participate as she wanted.
El: Έτσι, πήρε θάρρος και πήγε στον Δημήτρη.
En: So, she gathered courage and went to Δημήτρης.
El: "Δημήτρη," είπε απαλά, "αγαπώ τη συνταγή σου.
En: "Δημήτρη," she said gently, "I love your recipe.
El: Δεν θέλω να σε ανταγωνιστώ.
En: I don't want to compete with you.
El: Ήθελα απλώς να συμμετάσχω κι εγώ, να γνωρίσω τη γειτονιά."
En: I just wanted to take part, to get to know the neighborhood."
El: Ο Δημήτρης χαμογέλασε.
En: Δημήτρης smiled.
El: "Συγγνώμη, Έλενα, δεν το σκέφτηκα καλά.
En: "Sorry, Έλενα, I didn't think it through.
El: Ας δοκιμάσουμε όλοι μαζί," απάντησε.
