En: In the twilight of an autumn evening, Niels trudged through the colorful leaves that covered the sidewalk in front of the hospital.
En: It was almost Halloween, and his bag was filled with small pumpkins and bags of candy.
Da: Den kolde brise rev i hans jakke, men Niels lod sig ikke distrahere.
En: The cold breeze tugged at his jacket, but Niels wasn't distracted.
Da: Han havde ét mål: at bringe lidt glæde ind i Sofies liv.
En: He had one goal: to bring a little joy into Sofie's life.
En: The ward where Sofie stayed was quiet as he took the elevator up.
En: The air in the corridor was heavy with the scent of medicine, but the small common room was lit up with warm orange colors and small pumpkins that Anders, the friendly nurse, had already put out.
En: "Sofie loves autumn," said Anders with a smile when he saw Niels step in.
En: "A little decoration can make a big difference."
Da: I sofahjørnet sad Sofie.
En: In the corner of the sofa sat Sofie.
En: Her eyes were weary, but they shone faintly in the light from the small pumpkin on the table in front of her.
En: Niels sat down quietly beside her and took her hand.
Da: "Hej Sofie," sagde han blidt.
En: "Hi Sofie," he said gently.
En: There was no need to say more at the moment.
En: As they prepared for the small celebration together, Niels could sense Sofie opening up little by little.
En: They talked about the old days, about the Halloween parties in their childhood when they carved pumpkins and dressed up.
En: Sofie smiled briefly, and it was a small sign of hope.
En: Anders appeared with hot cocoa and sat with them.
En: "Sometimes it's the little things that mean the most," he said, and Niels nodded in understanding.
En: As the night fell, the small lights bathed the common room in a mild glow.
En: Sofie finally spoke about her fears and loneliness, and Niels listened attentively.
Da: Det var som om, nog
