NEW Pelle Lindbergh Documentary: Director Charlie Minn Talks The Swede of Philadelphia

Episode 1258

On November 7th, documentarian Charlie Minn’s latest project will premiere in area theaters and it will be of great interest to Philadelphia Flyers & hockey fans everywhere. THE SWEDE OF PHILADELPHIA tells the story of Pelle Lindbergh, Philly’s all-star goaltender who won the Vezina Trophy and led the Flyers to the Stanley Cup Final in 1985, before a tragic car accident cut his life short only 6 months later. Minn gathered interviews from Flyers legends including Bernie Parent and the people who knew Pelle best. Minn tells Bill the inspiration behind the documentary and what he hopes audiences take away from the story. For more info and showtimes, check out SwedeOfPhiladelphia.com.
