Back to EpisodesWhy it’s time to repeal the oil tanker ban on B.C.’s north coast
Published 4 months, 2 weeks ago
Description
It’s been six years since the federal government passed Bill C-48 — the so-called ‘tanker ban’ — which prevents large oil tankers from loading or unloading crude off British Columbia’s northern coast.
Now, with changing attitudes about resource development and new Indigenous-led energy projects on the rise, critics say it’s time to revisit that legislation.
Guest: John Desjarlais - Executive Director, Indigenous Resource Network
