Heartwood Haven fights the disastrous effects of animal cruelty through rescue, education and sanctuary to promote a more compassionate world for animals and humans. Heartwood Haven focuses on farm animals and also helps laboratory animals who have been released post research. You might have read about their efforts in finding homes for close to 100 roosters who were rescued from a cock fighting ring. Most have found homes but some homes are still needed.
