Story Transcript:

Sl: Matevž in Nina sta stala pred veličastnim Ljubljanskim gradom.
En: Matevž and Nina stood in front of the magnificent Ljubljanski grad.

Sl: Veter je premikal pisane liste.
En: The wind was moving the colorful leaves.

Sl: Matevž je globoko vdihnil in pogledal proti vratom.
En: Matevž took a deep breath and looked towards the door.

Sl: "Nina, tole je resna zadeva.
En: "Nina, this is a serious matter.

Sl: Nekdo je ukradel babičin prstan," je zaskrbljeno rekel.
En: Someone has stolen grandma's ring," he said worriedly.

Sl: Nina ga je pogledala.
En: Nina looked at him.

Sl: "Matevž, ne skrbi.
En: "Matevž, don't worry.

Sl: Najprej gremo v pisarno za obiskovalce.
En: First, we'll go to the visitor's office.

Sl: Morava povedati o kraji," je rekla pogumno.
En: We have to report the theft," she said bravely.

Sl: Tura po gradu se je začela ob deseti uri zjutraj.
En: The tour of the castle started at ten in the morning.

Sl: Poln navdušenja je Matevž občudoval starodavne stene in viteške oklepe.
En: Filled with enthusiasm, Matevž admired the ancient walls and knightly armors.

Sl: Občutek zgodovine je bil neverjeten.
En: The sense of history was incredible.

Sl: A ko je vzel prstan iz žepa, da bi ga pokazal Nini, je bilo njegovega veselja konec.
En: But when he took the ring out of his pocket to show Nina, his joy was gone.

Sl: Prstan je izginil.
En: The ring had disappeared.

Sl: Matevž se je počutil krivega.

En: Nina, always ready for action, quickly pulled him by the sleeve.

Sl: "Gremo, Matevž.
En: "Let's go, Matevž.

Sl: Prstan bomo dobili nazaj," ga je bodrila.
En: We'll get the ring back," she encouraged him.

Sl: Privlačna gotska vrata so se odprla in hladen vetrič je obkrožil hodnike.
En: The attractive Gothic doors opened, and a cold breeze surrounded the corridors.

Sl: Na hodniku so našla pisarno.
En: In the hallway, they found the office.

Sl: A zaposlenih je bilo malo in vsi so bili zaposleni.
En: But there were few staff, and everyone was busy.

Sl: "Nina, mogoče bi morali priti pozneje," je dekle previdno predlagal Matevž.
En: "Nina, maybe we should come back later," Matevž cautiously suggested.

Sl: A ona se ni dala.
En: But she wouldn't give in.

Sl: "Ne, zdaj greva naprej," je odločno rekla.
En: "No, we're going ahead now," she said firmly.

Sl: Nato sta stopila do upravnike pisarne.
En: Then they approached the office manager.

Sl: "Oprostite, nekdo je ukradel prstan med turo," je Matevž nervozno postal.
En: "Excuse me, someone stole a ring during the tour," Matevž nervously began.

Sl: Upravnik je pogledal Matevža čez očala.
En: The manager looked at Matevž over his glasses.

Sl: "Bi lahko opisali prstan?
En: "Could you describe the ring?"

Sl: " je vprašal ravnodušno.
En: he asked indifferently.

Sl: Matevž si je zbral misli.
En: Matevž gathered his thoughts.
