Hr: Hladan jesenski vjetar puhao je kroz ulice Zagreba, donoseći sa sobom miris kiše i opalo lišće.
En: The cold autumn wind blew through the streets of Zagreb, bringing with it the scent of rain and fallen leaves.
Hr: U policijskoj postaji vladao je uobičajeni kaos, s mapama i izvještajima koji su prekrivali stolove.
En: In the police station, the usual chaos reigned, with maps and reports covering the tables.
Hr: Policajci su pili tople napitke, razgovarajući o raznim slučajevima s ozbiljnim izrazima lica.
En: The police officers were drinking hot beverages, discussing various cases with serious expressions on their faces.
Hr: Luka je sjedio nasuprot Ivane, policajke s blagim osmijehom i toplim očima.

Hr: „Bio je u svom stanu. Planirali smo zajedno večerati, ali nikada se nije pojavio“, objasnio je Luka.
En: “He was at his apartment. We planned to have dinner together, but he never showed up,” explained Luka.
Hr: Ivana je uzela bilježnicu i počela zapisivati.
En: Ivana took a notebook and began writing.
Hr: „Pregledat ćemo njegove kontakte i kretanja. Možda nam to da neki trag.“
En: “We’ll check his contacts and movements. Maybe that will give us some clue.”
Hr: Dani su prolazili sporo, a Luka se osjećao sve više bespomoćno.
En: The days passed slowly, and Luka felt increasingly helpless.
