No: Vinden ulte utenfor den lille politistasjonen, som et rovdyr på jakt.
En: The wind howled outside the small police station, like a predator on the hunt.
No: Den lille fiskerlandsbyen lå innhyllet i stormens klør, og ute på havet hadde kaoset nettopp funnet sted.
En: The small fishing village lay shrouded in the storm's claws, and out at sea chaos had just occurred.
No: Sindre sto ved vinduet, så bortover det skummende havet.
En: Sindre stood by the window, looking out over the foaming sea.
No: Anniken satt på en benk ved siden av, hennes øyne fulle av bekymring.
En: Anniken sat on a bench beside him, her eyes full of concern.
No: "Vi må fortelle dem om skipet," sa Sindre, og snudde seg mot Anniken.
En: "We need to tell them about the ship," said Sindre, turning towards Anniken.
No: "De kan være i fare.
En: "They could be in danger."
No: "Anniken nikket, men så seg rundt i rommet.
En: Anniken nodded but looked around the room.
No: "Vi er trygge her nå.
En: "We're safe here now.
No: Stormen er sterk.
En: The storm is strong.
No: Hva kan vi gjøre?
En: What can we do?"
No: " Hennes stemme var rolig og stødende.
En: Her voice was calm and steady.
No: Politistasjonen var et enkelt bygg.
En: The police station was a simple building.
No: Gamle plakater prydet veggene, bilder av fiskebåter og lokale helter fra fortiden.
En: Old posters adorned the walls, pictures of fishing boats and local heroes from the past.
No: I dette lille rommet var det knapt plass til håp i stormen.
En: In this small room, there was hardly room for hope in the storm.
No: Regnet pisket mot vinduet, og lynet lyste opp nattehimmelen.
En: The rain lashed against the window, and lightning lit up the night sky.
No: Sindre var bekymret.
En: Sindre was worried.
No: Skipet de hadde sett, hadde gått ned raskt.
En: The ship they had seen had gone down quickly.

En: There was something strange about it, something inexplicable.

En: "We need to find a way to contact the coast guard," he urged.
No: Anniken så seg rundt og sukket.
En: Anniken looked around and sighed.
No: "Radioen virker ikke, stormen blokkerer alt.
En: "The radio isn't working; the storm is blocking everything.
No: Kanskje det beste er å vente?
En: Maybe the best thing is to wait?"
No: "Sindre ignorerte hennes tvil.
En: Sindre ignored her doubts.
No: "Kanskje det er noe vi kan gjøre," sa han bestemt.
En: "Maybe there's something we can do," he said determinedly.
No: "Hvis vi bare kan få radioen til å fungere.
En: "If we can just get the radio to work."
No: "Anniken så på ham og kunne ikke la være å smile svakt.
En: Anniken looked at him and couldn't help but smile faintly.
No: Hun kjente hans stahet altfor godt.
En: She knew his stubbornness all too well.
No: "Greit," sa hun, "la oss prøve.
En: "Alright," she said, "let's try."
No: "De beveget seg mot radioen som sto på disken.
En: They moved towards the radio that stood on the counter.
No: Sindre trykket på knapper, mens Anniken justerte antennen.
En: Sindre pressed buttons while Anniken adjusted the antenn
